Mawgan Porth is a small bay situated only 4 miles from Newquay. It may be small but it is perfectly formed, offering the most splendid of beaches suitable for sunbathing, sandcastle making, rock pooling, body boarding and surfing.
There are two scenic cliff tops walks, heading off the beach to the north you can walk about 1.5 miles to reach Bedruthen and take in the stunning beauty of the Cornish coastline along the way. Once you reach Bedruthen head over to the English Heritage Tearooms for an amazing cream tea. Alternatively you can head out along the southern coastal path for a slightly longer, more challenging walk to Wategate Bay, where the beach stretches out in front of you and the surfers battle the waves.
